IBERP Technology

We've created a new system called the Integrated Biomass Energy Recovery Process (IBERP) for energy and nutrient recovery. This technology meets both the letter and the spirit of resource conservation and carbon re-use. With this system, we are able to:

  • Remove non-organic solids from manure for recycling as bedding or other uses, prior to introduction into the digestion process.

  • Digest manure to reduce volume while producing methane gas via a digestion process.

  • Utilize produced methane gas to generate electricity, bi-product carbon dioxide and heat.

  • Capture heat for use in the digesters and other steps in the system.

  • Capture carbon dioxide, and convert it, through photo synthesis, to algal biomass.
Use remaining liquid, nutrients and minerals from the digester as elemental source material for production of algae (above).

  • Harvest algae and process for protein, carbohydrates and bio fuels.

We can do all this without adding to greenhouse gases, polluting groundwater and soil or transferring the offending waste problem to another site.
